Who We Are…
Our Mission
Equip, empower, and enable laity to be bold and faithful leaders in their churches and communities, offering their gifts in service and witness.
About Our Mission
Our mission statement defines who we are and clarifies our core purpose. It expresses our primary objective in a clear and memorable way, serving as a guiding principle for our ministry. Though concise, it is rich with meaning, reflecting our commitment to discipleship, leadership, and compassionate service.
Our Vision
To be a community of lay disciples who transform the world through faithful witness, servant leadership, dedicated ministry, and compassionate partnership with the clergy.
About Our Vision
Our vision statement defines our future aspirations and the impact we seek to make. It reflects our long-term goals of becoming a community of lay disciples who actively participate in transforming the world. Unlike a mission statement, which describes our current purpose and actions, the vision statement inspires and challenges us to grow into a greater expression of our calling. It highlights our commitment to faithful witness, servant leadership, and dedicated ministry, while also emphasizing the importance of partnership with clergy in fulfilling God’s mission. This vision serves as a guiding beacon, shaping our direction and inspiring us to continually strive for kingdom transformation.
The heart of ministry is connectionalism…
Connectionalism is “a vital web of interactive relationships.”
We are connected by:
- by sharing a common tradition of faith, including Our Doctrinal Standards and General Rules (¶ 104);
- by sharing together a constitutional polity, including a leadership of general superintendency;
- by sharing a common mission, which we seek to carry out by working together in and through conferences that reflect the inclusive and missional character of our fellowship;
- by sharing a common ethos that characterizes our distinctive way of doing things.”
